Shelter 1.1

The date of departure was fast approaching and waiting for the items to become available through mail order was not a viable option. My best option at this point was to visit a Cabela's store that was about 3 hours from my house. They had the tent in stock that was on my list of recommended items and all kinds of other goodies worth considering that would make sleeping more pleasant, and therefore the entire trip more enjoyable. There would be a considerable amount of in store research to do and with 6 hours driving time wouldn't leave much time to do so as I seem to over think and over analyze things. My wife had a wonderful suggestion, spend the night near the store which would increase my research time. After pondering this option and talking it over with my brother we decided it would be a fun opportunity to see what kind of gear they had first hand, and spend some time together. So we booked a room at a hotel near the store and waited to set off until after work Friday night.
